Krabi is fantastic. Railay Bay, where I'm staying, is like heaven on earth. Am gutted, because not so long ago Pirates of the Carribbean 2 was being filmed here so we just missed Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. D'oh!

Yeah, against my better judgement I went rock-climbing yesterday. I made it to the top but it was shit scary. Really. I'm a pretty level headed individual but I panicked. Big time. I couldn't do it the first time, but then I was persuaded to try again and I did it, but unlike my mini-cliff jump on the elephant trek weekend, this was neither empowering nor exhilarating. It was awful. So I'll not be doing that again.

There's a 'secret' beach on the peninsula which we all trekked along to yesterday which was great. Seriously beautiful, once I've disked my photos I'll get the pictures up.  However, because there are a lot of open caves it's apparently customary to fill these with giant wooden phalluses to encourage fertility. I know it's sacred, but it's also hilarious. Especially seeing as people have little stalls where they sell penis statues. Why? Seems that my entire afternoon was filled with penises, there were three guys in the bungalow next to us and they insisted on walking out onto their veranda to talk to us (Tess and I) without any clothing on. Not pretty. Nor impressive. Still, we managed to freak them out by proclaiming ourselves lesbians. They believed us too!
